Why did SBF launch a substack newsletter?

Despite facing eight counts of U.S. criminal charges and living under house arrest, SBF, as he’s often called, decided it was a good time to launch a Substack newsletter. In his first post Thursday, titled FTX Pre-Mortem Overview, the founder re-hashed his version of events that led up to his cryptocurrency exchange’s meltdown.

What is substack & how does it work?

Substack is an American online platform that provides publishing, payment, analytics, and design infrastructure to support subscription newsletters. It allows writers to send digital newsletters directly to subscribers. Founded in 2017, Substack is headquartered in San Francisco.

Who is Sam Bankman-fried?

With no job and under house arrest, Sam Bankman-Fried has taken the next logical step and launched a Substack newsletter. In the first post of the aptly-called “SBF’s Substack,” the disgraced former FTX CEO blamed Binance CEO Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao for the demise of the crypto exchange’s sister firm Alameda Research.

What happened to FTX & SBF?

The rise of FTX and its rocked the crypto world when the formerly massive crypto exchange went under last year. In the aftermath, the company’s executives have been charged with financial crimes. Many have pleaded guilty and are cooperating with the government. SBF is not.
